Hector joins us from Northwestern University’s dual MBA and MS in design-thinking and innovation (MSDI) program. While at Northwestern, he worked with local non-profits and for-profit companies to develop award-winning human-centered strategies. He also led a number of strategic initiatives for diversity recruiting at Northwestern.

Prior to Northwestern, Hector worked at The Boeing Company where he managed the supply chain, product design & development, and maintenance operations of commercial and military airplanes. He believes the key to creatively solving problems is to connect two previously unconnected ideas. As a result, his interests are varied: from design-thinking, empathy-driven strategies, and operations management to gardening and DIY projects. Prior to Boeing, Hector worked at General Electric and Revolution Aviation – an aerospace startup.

Hector holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. He serves on the board of the Seattle YMCA where he develops programs to serve the under-served.
