In 2016 and 2017, Artemis Connection launched two major Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives: Project Ascendance™, a research project on the racial and gender divide in STEM, and ASCEND, a program designed to build new paths to leadership inside of the world’s most influential companies. In 2018, we’re bringing together leaders in STEM, venture capital, entertainment, private equity, tech, social media, healthcare, education and more to share our research and findings from these two powerful projects.
Our theme for this inaugural Summit will be Mentoring v. Sponsoring, exploring how active sponsorship of underrepresented groups is one of the most effective ways to build more diverse and inclusive organizational leadership. It’s time to disrupt business-as-usual and make space for new leaders – we want to inspire our attendees to do exactly that. Through a series of keynotes, panels, breakout sessions, and social hours, we’ll uncover, ideate, and share the latest thinking around talent development, workplace bias, and future trends.
We have already lined up some incredible speakers from Intel, Disney, Facebook, Stanford University, Cultures of Dignity, Werk, and The University of Washington, as well as authors and thought leaders focused on workplace civility, talent development, organizational behavior, and diversity & inclusion.
Who we’re looking for: executives, business owners, academics, authors, thought-leaders, investors, and managers who are actively involved in diversity & inclusion, workplace civility, and culture-building efforts. Have an inspiring story to tell? We want to hear it. Have a fresh perspective on how to promote more women and people of color into decision-making positions of power? We’re all ears. We’d love for you to share your thoughts with our audience of influential leaders from companies spanning the Bay Area to the Pacific Northwest.
