Grace brings a perspective at the intersection of engineering, design, and entrepreneurship. She approaches problems with a mindset of collaboration, empathy, innovation, and creativity. Her pursuit of tech, namely AI/ML, AR/VR, and IoT has resulted in a deep set of analytical thinking skills and a desire to harness those skills for positive impact. She has worked with many types of people to strategically design programs, products, and processes with the user in mind.
Grace is a rising Senior at Duke University pursuing a custom degree in Intelligent Systems Engineering, Computer Science Minor, and Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. She is passionate about creating a hub for innovation among Duke’s student body that spans many organizations and communities. Grace volunteers in education as a tutor and leader of STEM programs for elementary age girls, and hopes to inspire more young girls to pursue tech. Grace also volunteers as a camp counselor under the camp name “Steak” for Camp Kesem, an organization dedicated to serving children whose parents have been affected by cancer. Recently, she has been watching Suits, reading Trillion Dollar Coach, hiking on coastal trails, and crafting bleached tie-dye sweatshirts.
