Washington doubles number of women CEOs at public companies — from two to four

There are now four women leading Washington state public companies, double the number who were in these roles five years ago. Salary analysis of the state’s public CEOs show one woman, Linda MassmanCEO of Spokane-based Clearwater Paper Corp., is among the 25 highest-paid. Massman ranks No. 17 based on 2016 compensation, while the next highest-paid female CEO, interim Marchex CEO Anne Devereux-Millsranks No. 31.

If companies would think of talent as a supply chain, just as they do for their products, they could make a lot of progress faster.
